General Legal Specialists, Latin America/Caribbean

The ABA Rule of Law Initiative is currently recruiting Legal Specialists on various topics for ongoing and future programs in the Latin America and Caribbean region.

Recruitment is for short- and long-term positions in countries throughout the region, both paid and volunteer positions.

Potential duties may include one or more of the following:
* trainings of attorneys, judges, police and other justice sector operators in oral trial skills, due process, and the application of human rights standards;
* design of training curricula for justice sector operators including prosecutors, defense attorneys, and police;
* design of law school curricula, and
* institutional strengthening to bar associations and law schools.

Applicants must have a law degree and relevant legal experience, as well as professional fluency in Spanish and English.
