The World Trade Institute (WTI), a centre of advanced studies of the University of Bern in Switzerland, focuses on education, research and advisory services in the field of international trade regulation.
Summer Academy
Launched in 2003, the WTI's Summer Academy addresses the increasing demand for up-to-date knowledge of the most cutting-edge issues in international trade regulation. Professionals, government officials, international civil servants, scholars, staff from non-governmental organisations and students who cannot attend the WTI’s full year Master’s programme can benefit from a compact exposure to – and a comprehensive inside look at – many of the most current topics in trade regulation and global governance.
Course Modules:
Each week comprises 25 hours of classroom instruction (20 hours in the first week plus a WTO visit).
Applications are accepted until all places are filled.
The WTI also offers a Master’s Programme in International Law and Economics (MILE) and a Distance Learning Programme in association with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
